On Tuesday, Gould reportedly told Lynch and the 49ers
On Monday Josh Oliver Jersey , 49ers General Manager John Lynch told reporters that Robbie Gould will be the team’s kicker this year.that he’d prefer that someone else do the kicking.Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Gould has requested a trade away from the team. The franchise-tagged Gould also reportedly told the team that he will no longer take part in negotiations for a long-term deal and wants to be closer to his family in Chicago.“The bottom line is, I’m unsure if I want to play there anymore,” Gould said. “At this point, I have to do what’s best for me and my family back home.”Lynch’s comments came in response to questions about the team’s interest in Patriots kicker Stephen Gostkowski before Gostkowski re-signed with New England this month. Lynch termed the team’s interest as “due diligence” and said that Gould “is going to be a part of us this coming year.”Gould’s agent said the kicker is “unsure when or if he will report” to the 49ers at all if they don’t agree to his trade demand http://www.jaguarscheapstore.com/quincy-...rsey-cheap , so it does seem that his presence on the 49ers roster is far less certain than Lynch indicated in his press conference. The Bengals had to wait until after the Super Bowl to hire a head coach. They’re still waiting to get a defensive coordinator.According to NFL Media, the Bengals wanted to interview new Ohio State defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley for the position. Hafley, however, declined. As explained by Mike Garafolo of NFL Media, Hafley decided that “he’s not going to renege on his commitment to OSU after taking the job last month.” Intended or not Ryquell Armstead Jersey , that’s a backhanded slap at Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury, who did just that at USC, leaving the program after a month. The fact that multiple college defensive coordinators have opted to stay put in lieu of making the jump to the NFL isn’t an ideal look for the Bengals. Regardless of how it looks, it will be hard for new coach Zac Taylor, an offensive specialist http://www.jaguarscheapstore.com/gardner...rsey-cheap , to get to work until he has a defensive coordinator. With the Scouting Combine less than two weeks away, Taylor and the Bengals surely hope to have a defensive coordinator in place before the trip to Indianapolis. If not, any available defensive coaches may want to hang around town that week, just in case.
